Coming to Town

For anyone who will be visitable, the Mannimals are coming to town for the holidays! Get in touch or we'll call you all when we're on our way to make plans.
We are planning a Birthday Party for Athena Fri Dec. 22 and any friends of ours are invited to join us. LOL it's also Orgasm for Peace day on the 22nd so maybe we'll just have a giant orgy, j.k. ;)
Also unless something really fun comes up we'll be having another party for New Years Eve on Sun Dec. 31! Either join us or let us know if something fun is happening. ;)

A Time of Reflection/Growth

For the past months since I've posted consistently I've been taking a break to do some reflecting/learning/growing. It's a good thing to do every once in awhile... Forget all you think you know and let things grow quiet and then think and learn what you can in the silence. As I said, I've still had some of my rants and loud thoughts creep in along the way and I'll get back to posting them again once we're back from our UT trip. Although with what I've been thinking/learning lately you should expect more posts at Spiral than rants here. ;)

Limbaugh

Yes I know. Not a topic worthy of a two plus month hiatus. I'll have something bigger and better shortly (and there has been PLENTY of rants to choose from) but I'm furious enough at that drug addled trough of human waste, Rush Limbaugh, that I had to get out a mini rant.

What a cold fucker. Who attacks someone with Parkinsons?! I mean Rush is pompous, hypocritical, and just plain stupid, but this?
I believe I will laugh til I cry the day that heartless, black hole of compassion is in need of help from someone else and instead of helping or at least doing nothing his would be helper plugs his nose and shits in his mouth before forcing it shut forever.

Never fear that I haven't still been ranting away as usual at all the ceaseless irritations and atrocities that I am aware of. I just haven't felt motivated to share lately and have been busy with other endeavors. I shall return and unleash here soon. Stay posted. ;)

Thanksgiving Invitation

Athena had a great idea a few weeks back and I figured I better hurry and get on letting everyone know:

The Mannimals are making an open invitation to any of our friends and/or family who would like to get away for a few days to join us for a Thanksgiving Extravaganza!

Athena and I are set to cook an ENORMOUS/DELICIOUS/HEALTHY Thanksgiving spread and would love to share it with any of you who can make it! Also there will be folfing a plenty as long as it isn't pouring rain. And of course we'll be watching the Denver Broncos kick some ass. This is an event you won't want to miss if you can make it! :)

We only have a limited amount of space for company to stay with us (unless you don't mind camping out back in 50's-60's degree temperatures with possible rain) so let us know if you'd like to stay at our house. We can also help with any motel/travel info as well.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you'll be able to attend so we can start planning on how much food to get. Also we'll need to special order the Organic/Free Range Turkey so we'll need to know who all is coming and as soon as possible.

Labor Day Weekend

Well, it was a fun weekend for the Mann family. We left on Friday to go camping at Toney's Mountain Golf in the mountains outside Grass Valley, CA. We also attended the Tool show at the Sleep Train Amphitheater just outside Yuba, CA. All in all it was a GREAT time and I'll be posting pictures, descriptions, and details of our adventure at the Mannimals site.

Also there is a post of some of our pics from August before it.

Unfortunately we arrived home to be informed of terrible news. Our dear friends Jory and Joey have experienced a devastating loss and our hearts go out to them. We love you both.

Important Poem and Election Frauds Abound

Thoughts From Within

Anyone who sees this post PLEASE CLICK THE LINK AND CHECK OUT THE POEM THERE! BE PATIENT, OPEN-MINDED AND WATCH IT TO THE END.

This is where we're at. Are you part of the solution or the problem?!

I don't want to get into this conspiracy too deep, but I'm horrified at the supposed coincidences between Bush committing election fraud, then his right-wing buddy surprisingly wins the Canadian election, and now he called and congratulated his right-wing friend down in Mexico that has been accused of large scale fraud and was still in the midst of a recount at the time of his congrats call...!

Ken Lay, Arlen Spectre and Signing Statements, Impeachment, and Some Good News

I must say that I'm happy "Kenny Boy" Lay is dead. Unfortunately I don't think he suffered nearly enough. And now he's free and clear of any charges against him as well as any possible (unlikely seeming) deeper investigation into his relationship with Bush.

I heard awhile back that the city of Berkeley has a referendum to impeach Bush and Cheney. Pretty fucking cool and smart of them to not only seek the impeachment of the Pres, but of the Vice as well. If Bush was impeached, Cheney would just pardon him and carry on the horrors we've been subjected to over the years they've been in power.

I hear Arlen Spectre is contemplating suing the administration of the insane and insane amount of signing statements Bush has issued. Fucking somebody has GOT to do something! I don't hold out much hope of success, but it would sure be nice. Bush is now over 750 signing statements and has surpassed EVERY PRESIDENT COMBINED!

This would be a longer post, but to tell you the truth I'm discouraged and don't have the energy at the moment to make a longer, more involved post.

The good news is that Jory and Joey have been successful so far in their endeavors to have a child and Joey is around 3 months pregnant! Congrats!!

MySpace and Medicinal Marijuana Patients Get Screwed Again

So, I finally got around to starting up a MySpace site. I'm going to continue to do most of my blogging at Blogspot and to use MySpace to network and keep in touch with friends easier. So if you'd like to check it out you can click HERE!

Today, June 28, the U.S. House of Representatives defeated by a vote of 163-259 an amendment that would have prevented the DEA and the U.S. Justice Department from spending any more taxpayer money to raid and prosecute medical marijuana patients and providers in the 11 states where medical marijuana is legal.
Sure feels great to be represented by our elected officials. Maybe we'll have to have a Washington D.C. booze/coke party and throw all their booze/cocaine in the river!
